The Problem
As of 2021, over 10,500 children in Georgia are in the foster care system. Children in the foster care system do not have a platform that adequately provides them with a coherent list of online resources to help them safely connect with trustworthy mentors and adults in the foster care system who can provide them with assistance.
Our team surveyed both children and adults in the system as well as people outside of the system to determine whether our problem was pertinent. Our results have shown us that most of our respondents are unaware of an existing online communication platform specifically for children in the foster care system. Therefore, we have determined that we would like to create an online platform that provides a plethora of resources that could help children in the foster care system with their needs.
Our Goal
Our goal is to create a website that provides a plethora of resources that could help children in the foster care system with their needs. We will also provide a platform for children in the foster care system to communicate with each other and with adults in the foster care system who can provide them with assistance.
